Freedom in Body, Mind & Breath: A Weekend Retreat with Colleen and Rodney at the Omega Instutute

Yoga is nothing if not a journey to show you how to experience life directly and be at peace. To further your journey, immerse yourself in this profound practice with two of the nation’s most respected yoga teachers, Colleen Saidman and Rodney Yee. Spend the weekend exploring asana, meditation, and pranayama, and the relationship between the three. As you align to your center through asana, you hone the attention of your mind, which can observe the subtle messages of your breath. Then you weave your mind and body together with the thread of your breath in pranayama. This yoking brings you to meditation and present-moment awareness. Saidman and Yee guide you through a series of standing and seated poses, twists and backbends, poses to open the hips, and forward bends. When you experience a vinyasa practice through all the postures, with an emphasis on breath, you end at the doorstep of pranayama and meditation. This turns you inward toward your center, where you more deeply observe your beautiful life freely unfolding.

October 13-20, 2014 (Bhutan)

Yoga Retreat in Bhutan
with Colleen Saidman and Rodney Yee

This really is a once in a lifetime cultural yoga trip that you can not miss. Nestled in the Himalayas between Tibet, Nepal, and India, Bhutan is a pristine gem that has remained untainted by outside forces. For 1500 years, it has been left alone to mature authentically with its own unique voice. The moment you step off the plane, you will know that you’ve been transported to a veritable Shangri la—the mountains, the air, the water, the culture, and the people give you a feeling of what life could be without conflict and greed. It gives you back a belief in humanity: if we can cultivate our innate goodness through the way we structure our society, life can be more balanced and joyful.
